Earl Lee WildermuthMT. PERRY: Earl Lee Wildermuth , 81 of Mt. Perry, died at 7:55 PM Monday, February 06, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family and under Genesis Hospice Care.He was born on Monday, September 16, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Lester and Cleta (Gierhart) Wildermuth.Earl was a member of Gratiot United Methodist and an
Army Veteran. He was a self-employed dairy farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau having helped found the CAUV Tax to help lower the tax burden against farmers. He was a 4H Advisor and a member of the Ohio and the National Holstein Association. He was an avid sports fan both College and High School and especially enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids. He himself played basketball and softball for many years.He is survived by his wife, Mary V. "Ginny" (Greenlee) Wildermuth whom he married on August 27, 1966; his children, Don Wildermuth, Charlene (Dieter) Frueh and Russell (Erin) Wildermuth; nine grandchildren; Elise, Claudia, Jakob, Aaron and Derek Frueh; Alexandria, Isabella and twins Caleb and Clara Wildermuth; a brother, Rodney (Edith) Wildermuth; Two sisters, Evelyn (Roger) Arledge and Barbara Bowman; several nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his daughter-in-law, Robin (Cover) Wildermuth.Friends may call 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 10, 2017 with Pastor Matthew Blau officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorial Contributions can be made to the Gratiot United Methodist Church, West Muskingum Academic Fund or the Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
