We mourn the loss of Earnest Brown Sr., who passed away on May 11, 2024, in Statesboro, Georgia, United States. He was born on July 17, 1926, to Walter and Ruth Brown. Earnest was a loving husband to Shelia Brown, whom he married in 1948.

He was a devoted father to four children: Shirley Boone (Lawrence Boone), Melba Brown (James Lee Brown), Gary Brown (Mattalee Brown), and Earnest Brown Jr (Marilyn Brown). Earnest also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren.

Earnest graduated from Central High School in 1944 and went on to work as a Railroad Worker for Georgia, retiring in 1970. He was a dedicated employee and took great pride in his work.

Outside of work, Earnest had a passion for baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching games together. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief at his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Earnest Brown Sr. lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by loved ones. May he rest in peace.
