We are saddened to announce the passing of Edgar Suarez, born on June 30, 1958, in Manila. He was the cherished son of Benjamin and Marciana Suarez. Edgar's devoted spouse, Catherine Suarez, preceded him in death.
Together, they had one child, Catleen, who is married to Rouel. Edgar was also a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Eunice and Callum. He also left behind his two sisters: Myrna and her husband Toy, and Marlene, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandkids.
Edgar attended Torres High School and later continued his studies at the Philippine Maritime Institute. He devoted more than 35 years of his life to public service, working at the City Hall of Manila before retiring in 2023.
Outside of his professional life, Edgar had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for horse racing, cockfighting, handball, watching action films, listening to music, and swimming.
Unfortunately, Edgar's battle with cancer led to his passing. He will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and zest for life.
As we say our final goodbyes to Edgar, let us remember him for the colorful character that he was.
May his soul find peace in the great racetrack in the sky.
