Harvey Edgar Simmons, 81, of Concord, California, passed on October 10, 2019. He was born to Edgar Harvey Simmons Senior and Mary Prado Kepler-Simmons in San Diego, California on July 23, 1938.
Harvey is survived by his daughters Aqualind and her husband Jan Blythe, Tiffany (Maya) Simmons, and Krysta Simmons, by1 grandchild, his sisters Sylvia-Tannyhill-Davis (who predeceased him in death,) Cynthia and her husband Bennie Wilson, and nieces and nephews.
Harvey graduated from Richmond High and attended the University of Berkeley.
Harvey had an entrepreneur spirit that led him on many endeavors. He started his own business, Court Couriers and was passionate about his work. He had successfully maintained his business within the County of Contra Costa since 1980 until his passing.
The way he died was the way he lived, he wrote his own rules and paved his own way. Harvey was a free spirit; he loved the water and enjoyed being around or in it for work and play. He was an excellent swimmer, loved surfing, and enjoyed boating and fishing in his youth. Until his last days he continued to love being by the water and the peacefulness he said it brought him. Not far from his place of business was a park near the water where he liked to go sit and relax.
Harvey was loved and will be missed by many; our prayers are that he REST IN PEACE.
