Edgar Lee Tucknies, 75, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at his home in Annetta, Parker County. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. A private burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood, 3100 White Settlement Road. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, Texas, 76103, or . Ed was born on Aug. 7, 1941, in Los Angeles, Calif. His family moved to Tarrant County while he was a young boy and he attended schools in White Settlement. Ed graduated from Brewer High School in 1959, where he played baseball. It was at Brewer that he met his wife of 57 years, the former Linda Goodger. Ed graduated from the
University of Texas at Arlington and built his own successful building products company, T & F Building Products, Inc. Ed retired after selling his business and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their many sporting events. He will be missed greatly by his family and all who knew him. Survivors: Wife, Linda; stepmother, Jean Tucknies; children, Cheryl Jackson and her husband, Cal, Tracy Marsh and husband, John, and Chris Tucknies and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Madison Tucknies, Ryan Tucknies, Rockwell Jackson and Matthew Jackson and his wife, Jamie.
