Edith A. Pearman, 74, of Fair Oaks passed away August 19, 2016, at St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point. She was born on October 8, 1941, in Gary, the daughter of Richard and Grace (Hunter) Harris both deceased.Edith graduated from the Gary-Edison High School and attended nurses training. On July 5, 2003, she married Kenneth Pearman. Edith loved Barbershop Quartet music, sewing, quilting and painting. Edith attended Bethel Christian Reformed Church.Edith is survived by her husband Ken, daughters; Dawn (John) Steeves and Lynn (Tom) Murray both of New York; sister Ethel Ralston of Florida; brothers Daniel Harris of North Carolina, Glenn Harris of Florida and Keith Harris of Tennessee and eight grandchildren.Friends visited with family on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday Aug. 24, at the Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte with Pastor Kyle Sanford officiating. Burial took place at the Calument Park Cemetery in Merrillville.Memorial contributions may be made to the donors choice.
