Edith Cole SilbersteinVero Beach, FL Edith Cole Silberstein was born on October 17th, 1919 in Catskill, NY, the son of Helen and Thomas Cole III of Catskill and New York City. She was predeceased by her first husband, Milt Dean Hill of Scottsdale, AZ, and her second husband, Howard Silberstein of Catskill, NY and Vero Beach, FL. Mrs. Silberstein graduated from St. Agatha Episcopal Girls School in New York City and Katherine Gibbs in New York City. She was the great granddaughter of Thomas Cole, Hudson River Landscape Artist, and Founder of The Hudson River School of Art. The family home and studio in Catskill are now a museum affiliated with the National Park Service, his work often credited as inspiration for the founding of the National Park Service. While in Scottsdale, she was a founder of the Scottsdale Girls Club. She also served as a member of the Indian River Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach. She is survived by her daughter Lynne Bohnsack, of Vero Beach; two sons, Dennis Hill of Vero Beach and Milt Dean Hill Jr. of Cerritos, CA; a stepson, Spencer M. Silberstein of Vero Beach, and grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at the home of her daughter, Lynne Bohnsack, 1465 9th Place, Vero Beach.
