Edith Frances (Persico) Julien

Edith "Edie" Julien, 82, of North Chesterfield, VA passed away

Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in the comfort of her home.

She was born on December 13, 1936 

daughter of the late Emma and Angelo Persico.

She was raised in Ansonia, CT, and graduated from Ansonia high school. 

She had a lovely voice and performed as a member of "Sweet Adelines"

and also in a quartet, while living in Oxford, CT. 

Married to Edward M. Schlegel for 17 years with whom she had three children with,

then to Francis Julien for 33 years. 

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Mattatuck Bank, the Law firm of 

Carmody & Torrance, Centerbank, MacDermid in Waterbury, CT and 

Kohl’s in Chesterfield, VA. 

Edie, a beloved wife to Francis Julien, loving mother to 

Suzanne Landi (Richard) of Powhatan, VA, Edward Schlegel (Donna)

of Bristol, and Carol Ann Vogel (Wayne) of Salem, CT. 

Cherished grandmother of Isabella, Sophia and Ryan, Rachel and Matthew, 

Jinda, Melanie, Shaun and the late Daniel.

She is also survived by her sister, June Virzi (Joseph), of Ansonia, CT and

sister-in-law, Judy Persico of Guilford, CT, nieces Donna, Margaret, Kathleen,

MaryLou, Laura, Jennifer and nephew, Paul. Her brother, Frank Persico, predeceased her. 

There will be no calling hours and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
