Edith Louise Connolly of Queen Anne, MD passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. She was 94. Edith was born on January 10, 1922 in Queen Anne, MD to the late Hiriam C. and Mary L. Dudley. She was a graduate of Tri-County High School and attended Salisbury State Teachers College. Along with her husband, Charles Carroll Connolly, Jr. (deceased), Edith was a proud farmer and was active in the Eastern Shore farm community from 1940 until her passing. She was also a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Easton. Edith is survived by her children, Marianne S. McGinty (John), Linda C. Fenton (Charles), Charlene C. Quinn (Kevin) and Charles Connolly (Mollie); grandchildren, John C. McGinty II, Thomas H. Fenton, Lt. Daniel C. Quinn, USN, Katherine A. Quinn and Keegan Connolly; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas J. McGinty, Zachary R. McGinty, Presley V. McGinty and Samuel R. Fenton. A visitation for Mrs. Connolly will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., Easton, MD. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 1210 S. Washington St. Easton, MD 21601. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Easton, MD.
