Edith R. Meurer1917 - 2016Edith R. Meurer, 99, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at St Catherine's Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie.Edith was born on April 10, 1917, in Kenosha. She was one of seven children born to Vincenzo and Carmella (Marino) Greco. She was educated in the Kenosha schools and on Jan. 13, 1951, she was united in marriage to Raymond Meurer. He preceded her in death in 1983.Edith worked as a care giver at Brookside Care Center for many years. She was an excellent cook and loved watching the cooking shows. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for others and was never happier than when she was "Nanie" to everyone especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edith enjoyed her daily Martini.Surviving Edith is her loving daughter, Carolyn (John) Koling of Kenosha. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Renee (Karl) Timm of Seattle Wash., Ron Koling of San Mateo, Calif., and Rhonda Koling of Kenosha; and great grandchildren Andrea Timm and Emily Timm. She is also survived by her only remaining sibling, Irene Donais of Sturtevant.Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and three sisters.As per Edith's wishes, services will be private.Casey Family Options Funerals and CremationsStephen P.
