He was born on June 27, 1933 to the late Robert Baum and Margaret Baum nee Gerhart in Lebanon. Ed retired after 37 years working two full-time jobs. He worked for both the Good Samaritan Hospital in engineering and at the Veteran's Administration Hospital as an LPN. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ruth DeConcini-Baum; sons, Edmund L. Baum, Jr., spouse of Barbara, Haddonfield, NJ, Daniel D. Baum, spouse of Carolyn, Lenhartsville; daughters, Meg, spouse of Timothy Heagy, Lebanon, Rebecca Keller, Reading, Sharon Agresta-Siekerman, Rutherford; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Karen Mitchell, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Elizabeth Baum; brother, James Baum; sisters, Peggy Strohm, Dolly Reich and Barbara Hartman. He was an avid Flyers and Hershey Bears hockey fan. He loved pinochle and cribbage, penny slots at the casino and enjoyed researching geneology and family history. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where a visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be made in Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Historical Society of Lebanon County, 924 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
