Edmund J. Berky passed away on August 17, 2012. Edmund was born on December 5, 1921 in Chicago, Il of Hungarian immigrant parents and was bi-lingual in English and Hungarian. He lived most of his younger years in New York. He was a graduate of the School of Music from the University of Miami, playing violin in UM's symphony orchestra as well as the symphony orchestra of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. He took part in the Pacific Operations during WWII, serving in the Solomon Islands and the Philippines and received the Bronze Star. He is survived by his son Edmund Berky, daughter Dee Davis and family, cousin Tony Berky and family, nieces, Diane, Kathy, and Gail, nephew John, and his dear love, Annie Smith. We will miss your easy going ways and sharp wit and we love you more than we can say. Rest easy dad, you're home now.
