Sadowitz, EdmundEdmund M. Sadowitz, Green Bay, passed away August 30, 2017, at the age of 98. He was born on October 24, 1918, in the Town of Eaton, to the late Anton and Anne (Borowicz) Sadowitz. Edmund left high school to join his brother in the Civilian Conservation Corps to help provide for his family after the death of his father. He enlisted in the U.S.
Army in January 1941 and served his country until the end of the war. On August 23, 1947, Edmund married Phyllis Penno. They recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. He worked as a machinist until he started his own tool and die business in the mid-sixties, Sterling Machine Company, where he worked until retiring at the age of 67. Edmund was privileged to experience the Old Glory Honor Flight with his daughter on June 17, 2014. His greatest joys were his family and the outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing.He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Phyllis; son, Kerry (Roxanne) Sadowitz, Green Bay; granddaughter, Nikki (Sadowitz) Graf, Washington, D.C.; Roxanne's children, Michelle, Sandra, and Sam, and their spouses and children; daughter Barbara (Jeff) McCabe, Kaukauna; granddaughter, Amy (Ryan) Seefeldt, Appleton; great-grandchildren, Marlo and Bauer Seefeldt; grandson, Zachary McCabe, Appleton; son, David Sadowitz, Long Beach, CA; sister, Mary Jane Sadowitz, Iron Mountain, MI; along with many nieces and nephews.Edmund was preceded in death by brothers, Louis and Robert; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Joe) Turini, Evelyn (Roger) Miller, Midge (Lyle) Zablocki; Phyllis' sisters and brothers, Edward Lick, Marion (Albert) Pramshafer, Richard (Evelyn) Penno, Pearl (Roland) Dirkman, and Marcia (Hartley) Anderson; and his father-in-law, Richard Penno.Friends may gather at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St, on Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 3:30 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m. Pastor David Hatch will preside. Burial will be in the Aurora-Homestead Cemetery.
