Edna DavisAGE: 80 • NewportEdna Davis, age 80, of Newport, Delaware passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Edna was born on May 11, 1936 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Arvil and Mary Rickard. She was preceded in death by her son Micky Hottes, granddaughter's Rose and Kristin Hottes, and her brothers Jackie and Chris (Marilyn) Rickard. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 38 years Charles Davis Four sons; Randy (Melissa), Mark (Alyce), Ronnie (Trina) and Richard (Kim) Hottes. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, her sisters Clemmie (John) Meeds, Henrietta (Bill) Frye, Gay (David) Staser, and brother's Charlie and Danny Rickard, her mother in law Gladys Davis and brother in law Bill (Jean) Davis, sister in law Loretta (Ed) King and many nieces and nephews. Edna was a talented cook who enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and spending time with her grandchildren, family and her beloved beagle, "Cashy Lou". In her free time, she crocheted and donated blankets to the VA hospital. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Judy Dominelli, her loving caregiver and friend.
