Edna Irene Davidson was called home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 19, 2016. Edna loved the Lord Jesus and spent a life committed to Him. She was a prayer warrior, a wonderful mother, a caring grandmother and a proud great-grandmother.Edna was born on Aug. 28, 1929, to Charles and Louise Morgan in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated high school in Plainview, Texas, and pursued her education degree at Texas Tech University. Edna was a homemaker and later became a teacher and substitute teacher for Amarillo ISD. She was a long time member of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo, where she taught youth for many years and served as the wedding director. Edna was also active in her Sunday dchool class and in the prayer room. Edna and her husband went on mission trips to Chile, Brazil, Ecuador and Belarus and took several of their grandchildren, on these trips, to serve the Lord as well. Edna enjoyed serving in the Gideon Women's Auxiliary where she distributed Bibles across the community. She served in leadership and support positions within this ministry. Edna is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Davidson Jr, their three daughters: Shirley Sutton and husband Chris, Laura Rinehart and husband Mark, Karen Carlile and husband David; seven grandchildren: Aaron Sutton and wife Emily, Andrew Sutton, Amber Davenport and husband Chad, Audra Cantrell and husband Lance, Kaitlin Timmermann and husband Robert, Abbey Asp and husband Brian, and Katarina Rinehart; seven great grandchildren: Noah Sutton, Hannah and Judah Davenport, Daven Asp, Lorelei Cantrell, and Wesson Timmermann; three brothers: Chuck Morgan and wife Jean, Dr Richard Morgan and wife Sharon, Dr David Morgan and wife Kenda; and numerous nieces and nephews.Edna is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, George Morgan, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at 10 a.m. Nov. 1, 2016, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas.The family request that any memorial gift be made to the Gideon International Ministries of Amarillo, P.O.
