Edna Fitzgerald, 78, of Trenton, North Carolina, passed on September 28, 2020. Edna was born on September 02, 1942 in Trenton, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Betty Smith of Trenton, sister Evelyn Taylor of Lagrange, and brother Warren Smith of Griftton.

She is survived by her beloved husband Jerry Fitzgerald, Sr. of Trenton, children Glenn Smith and wife Sandra of Trenton, Teresa Doane of New Bern, Jerry Fitzgerald, Jr. of Kinston, and Debbie Chodnicki of Raleigh; grandchildren Kyle and Katie Smith, Sarah Wethington and husband Charley, Rachel Hall, Leah Doane, Michael Doane, Jr. and wife Abigail, Kendall and Meara Chodnicki, brother Bobby Smith and wife Carol of New Bern, and sister Mary Loftin of Greenville.
