Eduardo (Eddie) Duarte, age 39, longtime resident of Alamogordo,NM was received by our Lord on Tuesday, 13 December 2016. Eddie was born on July 18, 1977 to Miguel and Graciela (Chela) Duarte. We remember Eddie in many ways, but his trademark was his cheerful personality and radiant humor which earned him a multitude of friends throughout his short life. Eddie was an intelligent man, an entrepreneur, and had a love for his automotive toys. Eddie was the pillar for his sister Jessica Cooper (Ken)of Las Cruces, and brother Ramon (Virginia) of Alamogordo. He was a proud alumni of Sacramento Elementary and graduated from Alamogordo High School on 1996. Eddie's trademark was his cheerful personality and radiant humor which earned him a multitude of friends throughout his short life. He met the love of his life Stephanie Acosta, at her high school graduation party in May of 1999, when he was starting his successful DJ business. One of Eddie's biggest mentors for the restaurant industry, was Mr. Melvin Ryle who saw the potential in Eddie, at his first job at Sonic Drive Inn.In 2002 he realized his dream and opened his first business "Tortillas To Go". Then in 2004 "La Hacienda" which he operated for 3 years. In 2004, Eddie and Stephanie were married in Alamogordo. Two beautiful daughters soon joined the Duarte home and together they embarked on a most beautiful journey as they began raising their family. In 2007, Eddie and Stephanie opened their current business "Eddies Burritos", with loving, supporting help from his mother Graciela, a wonderful cook. Eddie was preceded in death by his mother Graciela and aunt Amparo In August 2016.He is survived by the true love of his life Stephanie, daughters Daniela, age 12, Maritza, age 10. Eddie leaves behind many relatives near and dear to him including many cousins, several nieces and nephews, and infinite amount of friends. Eddies memorial / rosary service will be at 0900 hrs. on Thursday 22 December 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church on 705 Delaware Ave.Pallbearers will be Miguel Duarte, Lucio Acosta, Joseph Beach, Issac Duarte, Rosendo Garnand, Martin Sifuentes, Issac Duarte, and Javier Sifuentes.Interment will follow immediately after at Monte vista Cemetery on 1st St.Funeral arrangements are being managed by Alamogordo Funeral Home. A reception will be held at the
