Eduardo "Lalo" SilvaOxnard, CAEduardo "Lalo" Presbitero Silva was born on May 13, 1929 to Raphael D. Silva, Maria Rodriguez in Paciencia y Aguacate, Veracruz, Mexico. In 1942, at age 13, Eduardo left Veracruz, Mexico for Texas after the death of his mother. Eduardo worked various jobs while in Texas and during this time, he met Carmina Villegas and the two began a relationship. By 1959, Eduardo and Carmina moved to Oxnard, CA. Eduardo worked hard to support his family by working at Hal Watkins Chevrolet. In the early 1960's Eduardo began attending The Seventh Day Adventist Church in El Rio, CA. By 1980, Eduardo had started several successful businesses such as a janitorial service, a restaurant in Port Hueneme called "Lalo's Mexican Food" and several food trucks which serviced the Oxnard area. By the mid-1980's, Eduardo had retired and began volunteering his time at the Wilson Center and The Seventh Day Adventist Church. In 2004, Eduardo decided to move to Sierra Vista, Arizona to be with family members. During this time, he helped encourage and change many lives by bringing them closer to God through Bible study. In 2016, Eduardo moved to Perris, California to be with his family. On March 3, 2017, Eduardo "Lalo" Presbitero Silva passed on peacefully with family members by his side. He is preceded in death by his spouse Carmina Villegas. Eduardo is survived by his brother Jose Luis Silva of Rancho Paciencia, Veracruz, Mexico, sister Irma Silva Valdez of Rancho Palomas, Veracruz, Mexico, 8 children, Federico Tena of Oxnard, CA, Guadalupe Becerra of Salem, OR, Eduardo Silva Jr. of Coeur D'Alene, ID, Maria Lopes of Salem, OR, Rosalinda Hart of San Jacinto, CA, Alfredo Silva of San Bernardino, CA, Elida Gonzalez of Perris, CA, Sara Bella of Perris, CA, 39 grand-children, and 49 great-grand-children. Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 with a Funeral Service to be held at 7:00p.m. at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel in Oxnard.
