GARTNEREdward Gerard Gartner, age 66, died peacefully Monday, February 13, 2017 in Houston, Texas after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. Ed was born on March 6, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Roman and Marcella Gartner. He graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Cincinnati. After graduation he moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana to begin his career. He then moved to Houston where he went on to earn his Master's degree with a concentration in Finance from University of Houston - Clear Lake. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Julie Ann Stemmann Gartner, son Eric and wife Lyna and granddaughters Sydney and Sophie and son Carey and fiancée Morgan and granddaughter Everly and grandson Kaden. He also leaves behind his brother Mark and wife Ann and sister MaryAnn and husband Mike and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation and rosary with the family from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Monday, February 27, 2017, at Bradshaw Carter, 1734 W. Alabama, Houston, Texas. A funeral mass is to be offered at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2140 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas.
