Edward Henderson, born on November 7, 1957, peacefully passed away on May 5, 2024, in Slidell, Louisiana. He is survived by his loving children Evrick Henderson and Shanell Gears.

Edward was a devoted father and a proud grandparent to two grandchildren. He was known for his incredible sense of humor and his ability to light up a room with his laughter. Accepted the Lord at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev E.K. Bailey of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Following graduation, Edward received opportunity to work with Bowie Sims for several years followed by Frito Lay, Cups, and later United States Post Office. 

 He was preceded in death grandparents Henry Clay Bradley and Marie Bradley Scott, aunt Janine Bradley and mother Peggy Marie Justice. Edward leaves to cherish his memories: son Evrick Henderson, daughter Shanell Gears and two grandchildren, Erihanna Lavelle and Lamont Jones, four sisters Yvette Phillips, Lovita Cornish, Vanessa Orbin and Sharon Justice. As well as six nephews, five nieces, seven great nieces, four great nephews and a host of relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his parents Everette Barton and Peggy Marie Justice in eternal peace.

Rest in peace, Edward. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
