Edward C. Ivey1970 - 2016Edward Carl Ivey, 45, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at St. Lukes Hospital in Milwaukee, after a courageous battle with multiple health problems. Ed was born on Nov. 28, 1970, in Kenosha, the son of Paul and Valerie (nee: Gerber) Ivey.Until his health no longer would allow it, Ed enjoyed hunting, bowling, camping, fishing, and renewing his love of baking and candy craft. He was an avid Packer fan and was very proud of attending Green Bay's Super Bowl XXXI and a Brewer fan.Ed is survived by his parents; sisters, Dawn (Jon) Conner and, Tina (Joel) Ivey-Markiewicz; children, Emily, Alex, and Megan Ivey; wife, Christina (nee: Hart) Ivey. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Ed was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Oliver and Claudia (nee: Stefani) Gerber: his paternal grandparents, Elbert and Frances (nee: King) Ivy, and Elizabeth (nee: Taylor) and Benjamin Prescott, Grannie, Mary Hart; his aunt and uncle Ronald and Jeanette Johnson, aunt Donna Mae Gerber (infant), uncle, Richard Gerber and aunt, Judy Peterson.Visitation for Ed will be held at Sturino Funeral Home, Racine, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. A short service will follow at 6:30 p.m. Private interment will take place.In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Ed in a special way may direct memorials to U.S. Bank to offset funeral expenses.Online condolences may be expressed at sturinofuneralhome.comSturino Funeral Home3014 Northwestern Ave.Racine, WI 53404262-632-4479
