Jeske, EdwardEdward C. Jeske, 91, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. He was born on December 27, 1925 in Oshkosh, the son of Clarence and Bessie (Davis) Jeske. Edward married Josephine Nowicki on October 2, 1948 in Oshkosh.Edward served in the
U.S. Navy during
WWII. He was a bricklayer by trade and a member of the Bricklayers Union Local 9 of the Fox River Valley. He served as the business manager from 1980 to 1988. After retirement he and his wife resided in Florida, enjoying 25 years there, and recently returned home to be near family.He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish.Edward was a sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, bowling and the Brewers, Badgers and Packers. He also enjoyed playing bingo, cribbage and sheep's head.On September 3, 2015, Edward had the privilege of going on the Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. with his fellow veterans.He is survived by his wife, Josephine, two daughters, Kathleen LaFontaine and Stephanie (Joseph) Yurek, three grandchildren, Lisa, Jon and Joshua, two great grandchildren, McKenna and Maliyah, a sister Donna and sister-in-law Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and David.In accordance with Edward's wishes a private celebration of his life will be held. He will be laid to rest in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.The family wishes to thank Dr. Eric Stanelle and the staff at Theda Care Hospital, TC Hospice and Parkview Health Center for their support and care that was given to Edward.Memorials in Edward's name can be made to the Old Glory Honor Flight of Northeast Wisconsin at P.O.
