Edward L. Malamphy, Jr., 71, a 30 year resident of Pasadena died on June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born on January 23, 1946 in Cumberland, MD to the late Nellie and Edward L. Malamphy, Sr. Mr. Malamphy, Jr. has lived in Anne Arundel County since he was 15 years old and graduated from Severna Park High School. He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2462. Mr. Malamphy retired from ARC of Central Chesapeake in 2012 as a maintenance supervisor after 17 years of service. His hobbies included crabbing, fishing, and taking family beach vacations. He was also a member of the NRA. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Kevin Malamphy. Mr. Malamphy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Diane Malamphy, his children Mark Malamphy, Brian Malamphy, and Lisa Johnson and her husband Cliff all of Pasadena, his sisters Christina Taylor (Edward, Sr.) of LaVale, Rosemary Brown (Daniel, Sr.) of Seven Valleys, PA, his grandchildren Taylor, Brandon, Kevin, Carter, and Brittany, and his great grandson John David. Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
