Edward Leighton Treick, 82, of Nampa, Idaho, formerly of Ellensburg, WA, passed away peacefully at the Nampa Care Center on September 21.Ed was born on August 12, 1928 to Ed and Gertrude Treick in Wishek, ND. He married Wilma (Shelley) in 1957. Together they raised five children. Ed taught school for the Department of Defense for a number of years in Europe and then had a long career as an Administrator for the Tahoma School District in WA. He and Wilma ran Auntie Mo's Daycare Center in Ellensburg, WA until their final retirement in 2001.Ed is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wilma; their five children; Scott (Moni) Treick of Germany; Susan(Jay) Hoskin of WA; Diane(Chuck) Treick-Ransom of OR; Becky(Jim) Johnson of ID; Mark(Helen) Treick of OR; 10 grandchildren; Lea, Amy, Tim, Michelle, Kane, Charlton, Allison, Kelly, Evan, Oren; one great granddaughter, Layla; One Brother Jon (Lucy) Treick of Puyallup, WA and one sister, Evelyn Fields of Mt Lake Terrace, WA; numerous nephews, nieces, and dear friends.A service will be held in Ellensburg, WA, October 23 at the First Presbyterian Church. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to their local Alzheimer's Foundation and/or the Ellensburg Habitat for Humanity.
