Werner, EdwardEdward Henry Werner 97 of Schofield passed away peacefully at Rennes Nursing Home in Schofield on January 8, 2017. He was born on May 15, 1919 to Andrew and Frances (Wunder) Werner. He is survived by his two sons James (Stephanie) Werner, Watertown, WI , David (Jamie) Werner, Ladysmith, WI and one daughter Joan (Paul) Alliet, Appleton, one brother John Werner, Marathon, 7 Grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Werner who passed away July 7, 2011 and one sister Clara Sulzer. Edward served his country proudly in the Army and earned a medal of Valor the Bronze Star for his courage and bravery. He fought in the North African campaign and helped liberate Italy. He also loved to hunt and fish and was a life time member of the NRA. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by all. Services will be held at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schofield on Thursday, January 12, 2017 with Pastor Walter Davidson officiating. Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial with full Military Honors will take place at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery immediately following service. John J.
