He was also a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with the Lutheran Church of America. He was very athletic, having qualified for the Olympics in Track and Field when he was younger and spent 20 years participating in the Clarksville Senior Games.Edwin is survived by his wife, Mildred Towell Koskela of Clarksville, TN and three daughters, Robin Bachkor of Clarksville, TN, Kim (Brian) Terpening of North Carolina, and SueAnn (Tim) Kraft of Birmingham, AL.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County, 940 Tennessee Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
