Efrain “Frank” Colon Gonzalez Sr. Racine – Efrain “Frank” Colon Gonzalez Sr., 75, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 in Kenosha. Efrain was born on April 29, 1939 to Adolfo Colon and Maria Gonzalez in Salinas, Puerto Rico. He made his home in Racine, where he worked for Triple E as a machinist, retiring after 29 years. Frank was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and also loved spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren. Efrain is survived by his children; Kathy Petri, Raquel Colon, Malinda Colon, Efrain(Jessica)Gonzalez, Jr., Stephanie (Jeff) Ehlers, Amelia (David) Salinas and Christina (Jason) Bowers. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jessica, Anthony, Andy, Xymara, Cassie, Manny, Isabel, Ethan, Alivia, Hayley, and Cole. He is further survived by one brother, Perfecto (Lydia) Gonzalez, and also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Efrain was preceded in death by his parents; Maria and Adolfo, his wife, Cheryl, several siblings and one grandson, Cano Camacho. The family wishes to thank the many nurses and doctors who have cared for Frank during the past few months. A special thank you goes to Pastor Jack Gilbert for his guidance and spiritual support. There will be a funeral service for Frank on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 510 Kewaunee Street. Friends and relatives may meet with the family from 9:00 am until the service time. Visitation for Mr. Gonzalez will take place on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home.
