Efren Eloy Trujillo, 71, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2014 in Santa Fe at Christus St. Vincent Hospital. Eloy was born on July 9, 1943, in Trujillo to Celestino Trujillo Sr., and Eloisa Parson Trujillo. Eloy was a well known vendor in the areas surrounding Las Vegas and the Glorieta Pass. He loved horses, country drives and enjoyed spending time with his buddies at local eateries. He was affectionately known by his family as "Bodie."A Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Celestino Trujillo Sr. and Eloisa Parson Trujillo; brother, Fabian Trujillo and beloved grandfather, Samuel G. Trujillo, and sisters-in-law Flora Trujillo and Gloria Trujillo.Eloy is survived by his loving daughter, Angie Marie Trujillo of Castro Valley, Calif., his loving daughter, Paula Trujillo-Reinhardt and husband, Eric, and grandchildren, Elijah Seth and Isabella Grace Reinhardt from Hayward, Calif. and the mother of his precious children, Gloria Gurule Trujillo. He is also survived by his devoted brothers and sisters, Lucy Sedillo and husband, Ralph, Robert Lee Trujillo Sr. and Sally, Celestino Trujillo Jr. and Joann, Simon Trujillo, John Trujillo Sr. and Elaine, Mary Ann Aguilar and husband, Mark, Nick Trujillo and wife, Debbie, Dinah Maynes and husband, Ben. He loved his nieces and nephews, Nadine Hamby, Robert Lee Trujillo Jr., Lee Marvin Trujillo, Sandra Lee Goldberg, Melissa Trujillo, Consuelo Trujillo, Nanette Trujillo, Stephanie Trujillo, Amy Mora, John Trujillo Jr., Christopher Trujillo, Ben Seiler, Sam Seiler, Valerie Trujillo, Kathleen Trujillo, Celeste Trujillo, Logan Trujillo, Nicaea Chavez, Natasha Juarez, Analise Trujillo, Ariana Trujillo, Ray Sanchez and Steven Sanchez. Eloy was fond of his aunts, Grace Smith of Colorado, Confe Apodaca of Albuquerque, Emily Parson of Las Vegas; special cousin, Maryann Perea of Sapello and God-son, Robert Paul Romero; many beloved great nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.A rosary will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Church. A funeral mass will be held immediately following the rosary with Father George Salazar as the celebrant.
