Eileen Walden HardisonCorona, CAEileen Walden Hardison,95, passed away at her home in Corona, CA surrounded by her family on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born on May 11th, 1922 in Santa Paula, CA to Arthur and Eva (Southwick) Walden and had four(4)brothers who pre-deceased her. Eileen attended Briggs School, Drury College and graduated from Pomona College, Claremont, CA. with a degree in Sociology. She worked for the Red Cross and lived in Los Angeles. Eileen had a love of music that was instilled by her parents, buying her a piano as a young girl. Her family gathered every Sunday, singing and playing various musical instruments. During WWII, she enjoyed singing on a nationwide radio broadcast with some other college classmates. Eileen married Allen C. Hardison,II and they had four children. She excelled in keeping them healthy and happy on Rancho Del Tio in Camarillo, CA prior to moving to Corona in 1958. She and her family attended the 1st Congregational Church, Corona, where she worshiped and was also the church organist. She also played the organ for many years at St. Matthew's and St. Edwards. She accompanied weddings, choral groups and colleges around the Inland Empire. She was a gifted pianist and shared her love and knowledge of music with hundreds of local children over the span of her lifetime. She taught piano out of her home until she was 92, always looking forward to a swim party at the end of each year, serving lunch and her favorite dessert, ice cream! She enjoyed hearing from them and how music impacted their life journeys. She also worked as an aide with the Corona/Norco Unified School District.She is survived by her children, Lynn Hildebrand, Anne Danieri, Allen Hardison and John Hardison. Six (6)grand-children and eight(8)great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her love and devotion to her family and her ever-present graceful aura, will be her on-going legacy, which was reflected in her extraordinary blue eyes and beautiful smile.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 11 am, 809 Ramona Avenue, Corona, CA 92879.Eileen's burial took place in Santa Paula at her family's plot on a picturesque day, Sept. 23rd, followed by her family walking along Rincon Beach, where she, her children and grandchildren spent their summers.
