We are gathered here today to remember and honor the life of Ekow Azr, a beloved member of the Frankfurt community. Ekow was born on February 7th, 1997 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany, and tragically passed away on March 9th, 2025.

Ekow dedicated his life to serving others, both on and off the cricket field. He was a valuable member of the Crickts academy organization, where he helped mentor and train aspiring young athletes. In addition, Ekow proudly served as a Major in the Bataliom unit for 2 years, where he demonstrated bravery and leadership in the face of adversity.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Ekow had a deep passion for cricket. He spent countless hours honing his skills and competing with his teammates, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among those around him.

On March 9th, 2025, Ekow tragically succumbed to the global pandemic, Coronavirus. His untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him, as we mourn the loss of a kind-hearted and dedicated individual. Though Ekow's time with us was cut short, his legacy of service, passion, and dedication will continue to inspire and uplift us in the years to come.

Ekow Azr may no longer walk among us, but his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
