Elaine A. Scherr of Malvern, PA Elaine A. Scherr, age 74, died on December 1, 2016 at Dunwoody Village, Newtown Square, PA. Beloved wife of the late Emil A. Scherr, Elaine was born on August 22, 1942 in Wayne, PA to the late Joseph Reese Townsend and Clementine Marie Seaver. Elaine was a 1960 graduate of Villa Maria Academy. She started working at Burroughs Corporation, the day after graduation from 1960-1977. Elaine than worked at Norwood Industries in the Customer Service Department for 19 years and then for Provident/Nationwide in the Customer Service Department for 4 years. Elaine ended her working career as a real estate agent for Re-Max Real Estate of the Main Line, for 13 years. Survivors: Sister of Joseph Townsend, Jr. of Ormond Beach, FL, Charlotte Hoffner of Royersford, PA, and the late Theresa Sheppard, Sister Mary Anne Townsend I.H.M., and Jeanne Alenovitz; numerous dearly loved nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elaine’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11am at Saint Patrick’s Church, 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA, where friends may visit from 10-11am.
