Socha, Elaine Carol (Nee Sadowski) Elaine Carol Socha, 81, Whitewater, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient facility in Johnson Creek, WI. Elaine was born on October 2, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI to John and Alvina Olga (Kruse) Sadowski. She graduated from Pulaski High School. On February 4, 1956 she married Joseph Socha. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1992. Elaine was employed for many years as an administrative clerk at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and was a fan of the Packers and the Badgers. Elaine was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Whitewater. She is survived by her children, Christine (Timothy) Gasperetti, Whitewater, James (Tracy) Socha, Holmen, WI; grandchildren, Anna Gasperetti, Ben and Ellie Socha; sister, Marlene Wesierski, Waukesha, WI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sisters, Eleanor Contratto, Sylvia Mitchell, Ethel Reed; brothers, Eugene and Ralph Sadowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1225 W. Main St., Whitewater, WI 53190. Friends may call at the church from 9:00am until the time of the service. Internment will take place following the service at Calvary Cemetery, Whitewater, WI.
