Elaine Jensen BoltonJuly 8, 1930 - March 28, 2013Elaine "Tudi" Jensen Bolton was born on July 8, 1930 in Ovid, ID to Alf and Ivy Jensen. She passed away after a long and happy life on March 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Elaine lived her entire life in or near Paris in Bear Lake Valley in southeastern Idaho. At age 18, Elaine met who was to become the love of her life, Gordon Wyler Bolton while they both worked at the Creamery just north of Paris. Many shenanigans later and then finally after adding a dead frog to Gordon's sandwich one day at lunch, they quickly fell in love, courted for a time, and then got married in the Logan LDS Temple. After marrying, Elaine and Gordon built and lived in a small house in Paris and provided a love-filled home for their three children; Larry, Starlene and Kent. Elaine loved being a mom and excelled at it due to the wonderful example of her own mother. Over the years, Elaine worked as a bookkeeper for the Paris Creamery, secretary at the County Extension Office and then deputy clerk for the Bear Lake County Court for 25 years before retiring. Also, as an active member of the LDS Church, she served in a variety of positions during her life and loved to be of service to all. Due to Elaine's beautiful personality, no one who ever met her left without feeling that they were her favorite. Her sweet disposition and simple underlying tenet that "life is beautiful" helped to ensure that no matter where she was, the world was a better place simply by her being there. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her three children; Larry Bolton of Montpelier, ID, Starlene Bolton-Wegner also of Montpelier, ID and Kent (Angie) Bolton of Syracuse, UT; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren with two on the way, and three great-great grandchildren with two on the way. Waiting to greet her when she passed on were her husband, Gordon Bolton; their babies Susan, Brent, Zan and Julee; parents, Alf and Ivy Jensen; and brother, Don Jensen. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at the Paris, ID LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, at Matthews Mortuary (702 Clay St., Montpelier, ID) and from 10:00 -11:45 a.m. prior to services on Tuesday morning. Interment will be in the Ovid, Idaho cemetary.
