Hilke, Elaine M.Elaine M. Hilke, 89, Green Bay passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at a local nursing home. Elaine was born on January 17, 1928 in Green Bay the daughter of the now late Bert and Anna (DeGroot) Couillard. On June 26, 1944 she married Thomas "Tom" Hilke at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church and the couple enjoyed over 64 years together. Tom preceded her in death on August 28, 2008. Elaine loved to sew and volunteered many years sewing at St. Mary's Catholic School. She had a giving spirit and loved to help others. Elaine was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church since 1953. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and a friend to many and will always be lovingly remembered and sorrowfully missed.Elaine is survived by one son Tom Hilke Jr, one daughter-in-law Wanda Hilke, 5 grandchildren Brian Hilke, Shane (Viola) Hilke, Scott Hilke, Olivia (Mike) Horney, Alex Hilke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by one son James Hilke, one daughter-in-law Jan Hilke, 3 sisters and 1 brother-in-law Dolly Walman, Jeanette (Howard) Williquette, Germaine Couillard, 2 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law Charles (Ardes) Couillard, Jack (Mary Lou) Couillard.Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Saint Mary of the Angels Catholic Church 645 S. Irwin Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. at the Church with Rev. Anthony V. Cirignani, O.F.M. officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. The family would like to offer a warm note of appreciation to the staffs of Manor Care West Nursing Home and Unity Hospice for all of their loving care and compassion.
