Eleanor C. McCullough Eleanor C. McCullough, 83, of Atwood, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at St. Andrew's Village in Indiana.

She was born on Aug. 6, 1933, to Kirk and Zola (Burns) Sheesley in Deckers Point.

She was a graduate of Marion Center Area High School. She worked as a nutritionist for WIC of Indiana County. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her church family, her friends, and community. She loved cooking, baking, planting flowers, and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by four daughters, Glenda (William) Holbein, of Atwood; Brenda (Curtis) Lentz, of Indiana; Debra (Barry) Sheppard, of Creekside; and Wanda (Kevin) Meyer-Wadding, of Atwood; and the following grandchildren, William (Stacy) Holbein, of Atwood; Owen (Rebecca) Meyer, of Shelocta; Zoleanne (Nicholas) Ruffner, of Duncansville; Nathan (Brittany) Meyer of Rural Valley; Sarah (Adam) Lombardo, of Youngwood; David Holbein, of Atwood; Cody (Ciara) Sheppard, of Marion Center; Nick (Holly) Wadding, of Dayton; and Brady Wadding, of Rural Valley. She was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren: Larry, Lillian, McKenzie, Christian, Evelyn, Xander, Aiden, Claire, Zeek, Nate, Cecelia, Jacob, and Benjamin. Also surviving is one brother, Melvin 'Pete' Sheesley and his wife Kathy, of Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bernard C. McCullough, one sister, Lucille Dickey, one brother, Robert Sheesley, and a son-inlaw, Larry Owen Meyer.

Ellie was an avid porch sitter with her beloved husband, Bernie. She will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, and unwavering faith.

Family and friends will be received on Monday April 17, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St., Rural Valley. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Drew Himes officiating. Burial will take place in Atwood Cemetery.
