AVILLA — Eleanor L. (Teders) Harding, 90, of Avilla died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on March 26, 1925, in Kendallville to the late William W. and Bertha (Schenher) Marti. Mrs. Harding was a 1943 Avilla High School graduate. She had owned and operated the Railroad Inn in Garrett from 1976 until 1984. Mrs. Harding was a member of Avilla American Legion Post 240 Auxiliary and Kendallville
VFW 2749 Ladies Auxiliary. She married Paul W. Teders on May 8, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1992. She later married Robert D. Harding on Oct 9, 1993. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2014. She is survived by her sons, Gene (Leslie) Teders of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Gerald (Mary) Teders and Max (Jenny) Teders, both of Garrett; a daughter, Linda (James) Curry of Wolcottville; a stepson, David (Rhonda) Harding of Avilla; and a stepdaughter, Sandra Selby of Angola. Also surviving are her sisters, Joann (Harry) Cook of Louisville, Kentucky, LaVon Skinker of Avilla, and Ann Helmkamp of Auburn; her grandchildren, Ed (Rayme) Teders, Tom (Jennifer) Teders, Carla Applebee, Catherine (Kevin) Hebbe, Shannon (Mike) McClure, and Shane Teders; six stepgrandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, James Teders; a grandson James Curry III; two brothers, Charles Marti and Thomas Marti; a sister, Margaret Ley; and a stepdaughter, Barb Harding. Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church, Avilla, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Brazzell Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N. Main St., Avilla, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Avilla. Memorials are to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Indiana Chapter (
