Eleanor "Ellie" LimkeKnoxvilleEleanor "Ellie" Limke died peacefully at Knoxville Hospital on Sunday, September 10th in Knoxville, IA at the age of 81.Ellie is survived by her 6 siblings Norma, Marlin, John, Anne, Pete and Judy; 6 children Marvin (Sherry) Kingen, Melodee (Ryan) Brown, Martin Kingen, Nancie (Tom) Nikas, Barbara (Jim) Bacon, and Brenda (Frank) Hall; 19 grandchildren Heather (Luke) Davis, Joe Nikas, Lorrie Kingen, Trevor Brown, Jared Saltzman, Lexi (Brian) Sulser, Zackary Nikas, Autumn Kingen, Taryn Brown, Jadon Saltzman, Shelby Hall, Haley Bacon, Sophia Hall, Jordan Bacon, Sierra Hall, Jaley Saltzman, Carter Bacon, Grace Hall, and Anthony; 2 great grandchildren Landen Davis and Raegan Davis. She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Leona Malherek; 2 brothers Burt Malherek and Harold Malherek. Ellie was born on October 5, 1935 in Amboy, Minneasota. After moving to Des Moines where she lived most of her life, she was a professional seamstress, homemaker, Bakery/Deli Manager at SuperValu, Walmart, Food Saver, Albertson's, and a Cake Decorator at various locations. Ellie had many talents and was very creative. She was most proud of being a mother and grandmother to 6 children, 19 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 13th at Christ's Church 1401 Bell Ave Knoxville, IA, with a reception to follow. Pastor Ethan Book will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ellie's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Barbara Bacon at 135 Hi View Dr Knoxville IA 50138. The donations will be sent to a charity in Ellie's name.
