Mrs. Eleanor Rea, age 91 years, of Hogarth Riverview Manor (Thunder Bay, ON) passed away peacefully on the morning of November 14th, 2016. Mom was born on March 8, 1925. Predeceased by parents Marie and Edward Braithwaite, her brother Traver and her husband Morris. Eleanor is survived by her four children: Sean (Margaret) and grandchildren Nicole, Mark and Justin, Kevin (Marilyn) and grandchild Addy, Nora (Walter) Rubert and grandchildren Lauren, Sydney and Mackenzie, Shelagh (Jim) Chichka and grandchildren Ashley and Michael and her two great grandchildren Violet and Clara. Mom worked as a nurse for 46 years. After her retirement in 1990 she kept busy volunteering in many different areas including the Auditorium Guild, Herb Carroll 50 Plus Center, The United Way and Lung Association. Mom loved spending time with her children, grand kids, great grand kids and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Wesley United on Nov. 19th, 2016 at 2pm. If friends so desire donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or St. Joseph's Care Group for long term care.
