Dunks, Mrs. Eli (Amelia Kaminski)Mrs. Eli (Amelia Kaminski) Dunks, 89, Howard, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was born on December 17, 1926, in the Town of Eaton to Stephen and Elizabeth (Rozek) Kaminski.On July 31, 1948, Amelia married the love of her life, Eli Dunks at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Pulaski. They shared 56 years together before Eli passed away in 2004. Amelia and Eli worked the family farm and raised their family. Amelia also worked in the food processing industry.She was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish for over 30 years. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. Amelia enjoyed being outdoors feeding the birds and working in her garden. She loved her flowers and plants. Amelia was a very hard working homemaker: sewing, canning, and raising her five children. Along with all that, she enjoyed listening to polka music, dancing, taking bus trips to the casino, and of course playing cards. Her favorite times were those spent with her family on Thanksgiving and Christmas, because she enjoyed cooking and baking her best deserts. Her smile, laughter and outgoing personality will be dearly missed.Amelia is survived by four children: Mary Jane Dunks, Howard; Edward (Carol) Dunks, Oconto; Donald Dunks, Amberg; Ronald Dunks, Laona; ten grandchildren, Nickolas (Kim), Rebecca (Paul), Chad (Savannah), Misty Dawn, Kelly Jo, Tanya, Jennifer (Sam), Dale, Jill Ann (Jonathan), Joshua; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Chester Kaminski; three sisters, Elizabeth Kozloski, Veronica Butz, Dorothy Mrozyski; and many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli, on October 2, 2004; two children, Arnold and Rose Ann; seven brothers, Phil, Frank, Antone, Jack, Stanley, Steve, Andrew; and three sisters, Julia, Mary, and Jenny.Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave. (one quarter mile east of the corner of Cardinal Ln. and Glendale Ave.), from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. John Bergstadt officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Little Suamico.
