Elizabeth "Liz" Ferguson, age 63, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 23, 2024. She was born on June 4, 1961 to the late Edward and Ethel Ferguson. Elizabeth attended the Philadelphia public school systems. Growing up she was very quiet and shy around people she didn't know, but once she got to know you she would smile and have a conversation with you. She was the youngest of her siblings and she was daddy’s little girl. She truly adored her father. Liz grew up on 15th street and as a young lady her kind hearted spirit impacted several families around the neighborhood especially the Wilkins. She became apart of their family. She had a special place in her heart for Mrs. Wilkins, who she called mom.
She enjoyed traveling on the bus to the casinos in Atlantic City, shopping and eating out at restaurants. She also enjoyed hanging out with her friends at the Deli. She had many friends that were close to her that she loved. She loved listening to all genres of music and dancing. Her favorite singer was Prince.
Liz was a hard worker. She worked at Mr. Henry’s corner store for a several years. Everyone liked her because she was always nice, sweet and helpful. She also worked for a cleaning company for many years and she worked as a home health aide. She touched the hearts of so many people.
Liz became a mother to her first born, Monica who she loved dearly. They had a special bond together. Several years later she gave birth to her son Edward Ferguson who was named after her late father. They enjoyed long talks on the phone, hanging out and doing fun things together. She loved her children.
She is survived by her children, Monica Little and Eddie Ferguson; grandson, Antoine; granddaughter, Ivette. Sister, Vivian Ferguson of Philadelphia, PA. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Wilkins family, friends and special friends King, Big Mama and Rob.
Liz will be remembered for her infectious laughter and warm smile. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
