GOODING, Elizabeth "Bette" AnnSeptember 26, 1926 – Winnipeg, ManitobaApril 28, 2017 – Calgary, AlbertaElizabeth Gooding, beloved wife of Kenneth Gooding of Calgary, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Bette was born on September 26, 1926 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents, Alice and Clare Neil. She was raised in Regina and attended Business College there. Bette worked as an administrative secretary for Canada Permanent Ltd. On March 25, 1966 she married Ken and became mother to his three children. She chose to quit her secretarial position and focus on being a wife and mother to her new family. Throughout their marriage, she and Ken lived in Regina, Edmonton and Calgary. In 1981 they bought a home in Phoenix, became snowbirds, and went on to enjoy many winters there golfing and socializing with friends. Bette belonged to the United Church and had a passion for knitting, sewing and cooking. Bette is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Ken Gooding; her children and their spouses, Lenore (Simon) deJong, Vivian Gooding (Clay Sumner) and Tom (Patricia) Gooding.
