Elizabeth Hoagland, 91, of Clearlake, California, passed on January 23, 2021. Elizabeth was born on September 02, 1929. Elizabeth was married to her high school sweetheart Roy Kenneth Hoagland for 71 years. She and her husband Roy Kenneth Hoagland graduated from Fordland High School in Fordland, MO. They married in Vallejo, California on 12/14/49 with her sister Mary Jean Wilkerson and her husband Everett as their witnesses.
She was an amazing daughter to Harry and Ocie Aton, a loving sister to Lee, Don, Bob and Bill Aton all who preceeded her in death. She was a caring sisiter to Mary Jean Wilkerson, Patricia Thompson Lavezzo and Carolyn Fox. Elizabeth was the one and only wife to her husband Roy Kenneth Hoagland. Elizabeth Ann Aton Hoagland was grandmother to Keith (Tiffinie), Kenneth, Steven (Esther) Hoagland and Amanda Casillas, Christina and Stephanie Dytche (Chad Avila) as well as Josh and Nick Sani. She was great grandmother to Sean Joyner, Catalina Casillas, Katelin Hoagland, Timothy and Lucas Howell, David and Daniell Casillas and Julia Avila.
Elizabeth was known for her loving and caring way in which family was the beginning and end of every thought or feeling. She had a smile that would light up a room and make everyone feel welcomed and at ease with her. Elizabeth was Sunday School Secretary at Parkhaven Baptist Church in Concord, California for many years. She brought all her children up in the knowledge of love and caring for others. She shared those same life lessons with her grandchildren Keith, Kenneth and Steven Hoagland as well as Amanda Casillas, Christina and Stephanie Dytche and later with Josh and Nick Sani.
Heaven is a better place today because Elizabeth has joined the angels and the earth is a little less bright for her not being among us any longer. But her love, her life lessons and her example will always be with us and those that knew and love her.
