She was born to Hoarce Ray and Evelyn (Dickey) Ray on August 24, 1925, in Breckenridge, Missouri. Elizabethgraduated from Breckinridge (Missouri) High School and moved to Kansas City where she took a job at City National Bank. A blind date with fellow employee Rodney Emerson Pressler, which resulted in 62 years of happiness. After their wedding on March 16, 1946 (also in Kansas City), Elizabeth and Rodney resided in Lenexa, Ellsworth, and Salina, Kansas for Rodneys career. Elizabeth was a devoted homemaker and mother with a sharp wit and a keen eye for fashion. After Rodneys death in 2008, Elizabeths last years were spent in Springfield and Kansas City Missouri, residing with her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Robert Rivers. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brother, Gerald Ray “Bud” Pressler & her husband, Rodney.
Elizabeth is survived by her four children: Karen Sue (Craig) Calnan, Kansas City, Missouri; John Mark (Lamar, Missouri).Rebecca Ann (Karl) Boaz, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Nancy Jean (Robert) Rivers, Kansas City, Missouri. Seven grandchildren: Amy Augustine, Allison VanDaGriff, Emily Adams, Tyler Martin, Samuel Martin, Connor Rivers, Clare Rivers, and four great-granddaughters.
