Elizabeth GriggElizabeth "Betty" Grigg, 85, a longtime resident of Toms River, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on June 23, 2017. Daughter of William E. and Agnes (Chambers) Morom, Betty was born on May 28, 1932, in Medford, Mass. She graduated from Medford High School and received her degree in Nursing from New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Mass. She devoted her life to caring for others. She retired from nursing in 1991 after 25 years as the school nurse at Hooper Ave. Elementary School in Toms River. Betty was married to the love of her life, Roger B. Grigg. Betty enjoyed many years of traveling and camping with her family. In later years she and Roger enjoyed extended stays in St. Thomas and Naples, Florida. She was also known for her love of Atlantic City and always shared her winnings. Betty loved a good game of cards, and spent many evenings playing around the dining room table, always accompanied by laughter. Betty is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Roger; her sister Janet Kelley, Derry, New Hampshire; her loving children, Janet Grigg (Steve and David), Bayville, N.J., Bill (Lori), Sherman Oaks, Ca. and Diane Finley (John), Toms River, N.J. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Julia, Colleen, Zayne and Nash; as well as her devoted caregiver Elizabeth, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, N.J. Burial will be at the Bordentown Cemetery, 210 Crosswicks Rd. Bordentown.
