Elizabeth R. RadvanyMANSFIELD: Elizabeth R. Radvany, 94, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1923 in Richmond, Virginia; her parents being Paul and Helen Radvany. Elizabeth was very conscientious and a hard worker, mastering many crafts during her work life in Virginia, Oregon and Ohio; lastly working at Therm-O-Disc for 34 years prior to retiring.Elizabeth loved to travel and saw many parts of our great country; often times traveling with friends and sometimes all by herself. She especially liked to drive because she said, "you could see more that way". Elizabeth was a marvelous seamstress, making almost everything she wore. She was also an excellent baker and famous for her delicious and beautiful Kipfuls she shared with everyone, especially around the holidays.Elizabeth was a generous soul. Nothing made her happier than sharing what she had. She made it her calling to supply fabric and yarn for various missions for the poor.She is survived by three brothers, George in California, and Edward and Steve in Virginia; a sister, Evelyn in Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings.Friends may call from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Home, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. The funeral service officiated by the Apostolic Christian Church will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mansfield Memorial Park.
