LAURINBURG — Elizabeth Theresa Smith Jeffcoat, 81, passed away at her home on Nov. 19, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Donnie Robinson and the Rev. John Prine. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
Elizabeth was born on July 13, 1932 in Ghio, daughter of the late Pete Thomas Smith and Mamie Ward Riggan and raised by the late Nannie Elizabeth Smith. She retired after many years of service as the manager of Pine Acres Motor Lodge. She was a longtime member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church. She loved people and never met a stranger. She was dedicated to her work, enjoyed shopping and traveling. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Gail T. Walters and brothers Cephus Smith, Lester Smith and Harold Smith.
She is survived by her son H. Wayne Jeffcoat and wife Sylvia of Wilmington, daughters Sharon S. Goude and husband Mitchell of Laurel Hill, Debbie M. Robinson and friend George Goff of Laurinburg, and Vonda K. Jeffcoat of Laurinburg, son-in-law Bud Walters of Laurinburg, seven grandchildren: Melissa Pittman and her friend Rodney Strickland, Eddie Dutch, Johnny Stone, Brent Robinson, Gary Walters, Phillip Walters, and Jimmy Walters, seven great-grandchildren: Taylor, Addison, Kelsey, Dylan, Jordan, Ryan, and Logan, two great-great-grandchildren: Mason and Caleb, special cousins Betty and Walter Riggan, Lamar Skipper, Johnnsie Riggan, Phyllis and Wayne Fuller, Doris Love, and Martha Love.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
