Ella Louise Pearson December 26, 1937- December 3, 2016 Ella Louise Pearson of Merced, Ca. peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her family on December 3, 2016, at the age of 78. Ella was born on December 26, 1937 in Texas. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Kenneth Pearson; parents Henry and Hattie Wertenberger, grandson Ethan Moulton, and 11 brothers and sisters.  Ella is survived by her 5 children: Mike (Kim) Pearson, Bruce (Lenee) Pearson, Brian (Marlynda) Pearson, Linda (Bob) Borge, and Shannon (Joe) Moulton. Ella is also survived by her 12 grandchildren: Bryanne Friedberg, Jason Pearson, Janell Pearson-Konefat, Dustin Pearson, Hayden Pearson, Joziah Pearson, Daniel Pearson, Kristen Tesh, Alyssa Borge, Carissa Moulton, Devon Moulton, Nicholette Moulton, and 3 great grandchildren: Kirstyn Parry, James and Antony Konefat.In December of 1955, Ella married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Ken. After Ken's career in the U.S. Navy, Ken and Ella settled in Merced County; they continued to raise their family and established their first businesses of service stations, located in Los Banos and Dos Palos.  In 1972, the family moved to Merced, California, where they owned and operated the Arco station on the corner of G. & Olive. In 1986, they expanded their family business and acquired the AM/PM on Hwy 140 in Merced. You could always find Ella smiling hard at work, enjoying the wonderful relationships she had with her customers. Ella's greatest joy was working side by side with her husband and family, until their retirement in 2009. Ella had a love of reading. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and her "Law & Order, SVU". Her finest accomplishment was supporting her children and grandchildren. The holidays will never be the same without her signature pies and German chocolate cake.  The family would like to thank Hinds Hospice of Merced.
