CHERAW, S.C. — Mrs. Ellen Sessions McLain, age 80, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. McLain was born on Feb. 20, 1934 in Camden, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Paul Otis Sessions Sr. and Mary Scott Sessions. She was the retired owner and operator of NAPA Auto Parts in Society Hill, South Carolina, and attended North Cheraw Baptist Church. Ellen enjoyed gardening, growing pretty flowers, decorating and birds.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was also preceded in death by her husband, Fulton H. McLain; and by two brothers, Paul O. Session Jr. and Randolph "Randy" Sessions.
Survivors include a son, Terry W. McLain Sr. or Cheraw; two daughters, Connie McLain (the Rev. Randy) Bishop of Hamlet, North Carolina and Donna McLain (Victor) Barefoot of Cheraw; brother, Sam Sessions of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina; sister, Jewell Sessions (Jack) Jones of Wadesboro, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her dog, "Oscar."
Graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive family and friends immediately following the graveside service at the cemetery and at other times at the home, 7881 Teals Mill Road, Cheraw, SC 29520.
