Ellen P. Morey, 81, of Holliston, passed away Mon. Nov. 28, 2016 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford. She was born on July 26, 1935 in Milford, daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Shirland) Morey, Sr. and lived in Hopedale for many years before moving to Holliston in 1987. After high school she became a registered nurse. She was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as an Army nurse and acquiring the rank of Captain. Ms. Morey was an oral surgical nurse for Dr. Nathanson for many years before retiring in 2000. Ellen cherished the love of her family, wanting nothing more than to have them around her in her final days. She was a self-described Soap Opera Queen, enjoying General Hospital for many years. Ellen was predeceased by her dear friend and former sister-in-law, Lydia Morey. Ellen is survived by her brother, Walter Morey, Jr. and his wife Liz, of The Villages, FL, loving nieces Patricia and her husband Tony Salvatori and Susan and her husband Scott Hollabaugh, a nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff and care givers at Countryside Healthcare for all their care of Ellen. A visiting hour will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress Street, Milford. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Noon at the funeral home, directly following the calling hour. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Depot Street, Milford.
