Ellen Rae HunterEllen Rae Hunter, 66, of Battle Ground, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 11:34 a.m. at her residence surrounded by her family. Rae was born on October 19, 1948 in Chanute, KS to the late Roy Robertson, and Muriel (Shircore) Robertson of Tampa, FL, who survives. Rae was a graduate of Chickasha High School. She married Leroy Hunter on April 5, 1986, and he survives. Rae worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department for 12 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, loved shopping and doing her nails. Surviving are three children, Gerry Rogers of Battle Ground, Jeff Rogers of Lafayette, Justin Rogers of Norfolk, VA, and two stepchildren, Kelly (wife: John) Whitney of Tulsa, OK, and Jason Hunter of Oklahoma City, OK. Also surviving are one brother, Roy (wife: Nancy) Robertson of Midlothian, TX, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care with Father Eric Underwood officiating.
